About the Agency

Sailung Adventure Trekking Pvt. Ltd. established in the year 1992 organising tours, trekking, and mountaineering expeditions in Nepal, Tibet, India and Bhutan with an emphasis on adventure whilst maintaining environmental awareness and contact with local peoples. Nepal has much to offer, and trekking is set up to handle the logistics and field staff for a variety of educational, environmental and cultural projects.

Our trips are not only for the experienced; in our website you will find a vast array of options to suit all abilities and objectives. We do specialize, however, in taking a walk on the wild side.

Most of our guides are English, French, German, Japanese and Korean speaking, experienced and government-licenced and provide a high standard of service. All can be relied upon for their knowledge of mountain and river conditions. Safety is always paramount. All guides are trained in first aid and in recognising altitude sickness.

For your stay in Kathmandu and other cities we arrange accommodation according to your budget and even simple hotels we provide are good, clean with hotwater, having electricity backup, wi-fi access and 24 hrs reception.  Good and cheap evening meals can be easily found in the many restaurants in Kathmandu and other major cities. Everything is available from traditional Nepali to Japanese to French cuisine.

Apart from the trips described in this website, we can discuss any trip, expedition or project that clients wish to arrange. If the arrangements in our website do not meet your precise needs, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss more flexible arrangements.

We own a young, energetic and dedicated team of professionals who possess more than a decade long experience in their respective fields in adventure tourism. Here are the main key personnel who are responsible for organising your trips in the Himalaya:

Mr. Lhayul Lama
Director

Mr. Lama has long experience in travel & tourism field. He joined trekking field from the entry level and till this date Mr. Lama has strived to proffer eco-friendly and quality services to intrepid trekkers and mountaineers. He has extensively travelled to Nepal, Tibet and India in quest of true adventure. Occasionally he find irresistible leading groups to very remote of Nepal and Tibet.

Mr. Laurent Breuer
European Group Leader

Ms. Meenu Shrestha
English cum French Correspondent

She is an adventure enthusiast and our key person in taking care of incoming and outgoing mails. She has also previous experiences working with other adventure companies from the grass root level. Seldom she guides female groups in the city and mountain when considered necessary. 

Mr. Dorje Lama “REIKEI”
French Speaking Trekking Guide

He has long experience guiding groups especially in Nepal and professionally trained guide on wilderness and first aid. An instructor of REIKEI. Occasionally he travels to France and Belgium to spruce his language skills. Presently, he is a student at Alliance Françoise and also undertaking a mountaineering course. He is keen to traveling, photographing and social works.

Mr. Bishal Lama
Japanese Speaking Trekking Guide

He is an officially appointed tour guide by Bhaktapur municipality. He also leads groups especially to mountainous region of Nepal. He works with us as an interpreter and guiding our Japanese clients in Nepal and Tibet.         

Mr. Dhan Raj Tamang
English Speaking Guide and Group Leader

He entered in adventure field as a trekking cook and later having broad knowledge of mountains of Nepal and Tibet he then was upgrade to assistant guide. Since after he has been guiding group as senior English speaking trekking guide cum group leader.

Mr. Man Bahadur Tamang
German Speaking Trekking Guide & Group Leader

Our senior guide Mr. Tamang has in-depth knowledge of various regions of Nepal. He has been guiding groups since the creation of our agency. He is a second to none bonafida guide. 

Mr. Syange Sherpa
Climbing Guide

Mr. Sherpa has climbed numerous eight thousand meter peaks. He has been employed here since the inception of the company.

Mr. Lakpa Dorje Sherpa
Climbing Guide

Mr. Sherpa having successfully climbed numerous trekking peaks and is one of our experienced peak climbing guide.

Mr. Antrae Tamang
Naike (Porters’ Leader)

A “Naike” literally meaning leader of a group but here represents a title given to a porters’ leader who manages and sees after porters. He is a key person for keeping record of each and every porter, supplying of proper clothes, foods and educating them on acute mountain sickness and first aid. He is strict about not employing under age and pregnant woman whilst hiring porters on the way.  

Mr. Aite Singh Tamang
Korean Speaking Trekking Guide

He is a well experienced government licensed mountain guide and a trained cook. He has through insight on village tourism. Mr. Tamang is one of our guide who can expose the visitor to the real rural part of Nepal.        

Ms. Luna Lama
Accountant

She keeps track of payments, financial positions, transfers of capital or income for individual or institutional clients and responsible for examining the tax implications.

Ms. Sofia Sajda Lama
Media & Web Designer

She looks after renovating our website, creating newsletters and dossiers.
